Hey Doc! I know it has been a few weeks since homecoming, but I am still basking in the light of the event. It recharges the batteries and gives the energy and encouragement to bring wellness to the world. It is amazing that every year you state it will be the greatest event ever. How is that possible? But, yet it is! Over the year new challenges arise, chronic ailments seem to mutate and results take new insights and discovery. So thanks to you our research and stratagem greatly advance.

Homecoming reflects each time innovative ways to continue to meet those challenges. I just saw the new Puzzle Piece with the question of our six step approach and functional medicine. Before it came out I was meaning to send you this note. The point is yes, we do identify roadblocks to attaining ones health potential through energetic testing and therapies. However, due to the ever evolving complexity of illnesses due to new toxins, xenobiotics and all the other environmental and stressors of life we need more windows into the body. I think what we do and have always done with the “Six Steps to Wellness”, is absolutely Functional Medicine. We incorporate many forms of assessment to help identify the 6 interferences. I have patients asking why their “regular” doctor can’t work together with what we are doing. They ask if their medical doctor can do the blood work, etc. We clearly see they are testing for pathology and not health and wellness. They are not taking complete blood studies that allow them to know how all of the systems of the body are working, due to having to stay in their standard of disease and symptom based care.
So everyone out there should keep up with the Nutri-West/Brimhall Seminars and join FMTown to help get our patients well. One more point I wanted to add was that the information not only can benefit us as clinicians, but patients love tests and results black on white despite our energetic testing. So it is win/win. I can hardly wait until next year to see what you have put together for Homecoming! I know you are bringing much of this information to each seminar you teach this year. I encourage all of my colleagues to get caught up in your new Heavy Metal Challenge and learn the Functional Diagnosis and Treatments, with your nutritional protocols.
To continue the theme, I wanted to encourage you to remind everyone, we are the ones in the trenches to fight for and deliver Wellness Care. We must educate the public on complete functional evaluation, preventative and corrective care and that there are side effects to any and all medication. Of course sometimes patients need medication and sometimes they are life saving. We should encourage our patients to be educated to their possible choices and not be blind to these choices.
Next week we will give you two of Dr. Dov’s case histories where using Functional Evaluation and The Six Steps to Wellness used in treatment, yielded incredible results.
Thanks to Dr. Dov and to all of you doing a great work!
